The National Bank of Algeria (BNA) proceeded today, Tuesday, February 08, 2022, with the opening of its second agency dedicated exclusively to Islamic Finance. This is the Chlef ENDVP “261” agency, attached to the Chlef DRE “196” located at:
25, Rue Emir Abdelkader – W. CHLEF
Indeed, this morning, the General Manager of the National Bank of Algeria, Mr. Mohamed Lamine LEBBOU, proceeded with the inauguration of this new headquarters which will house the second BNA agency dedicated exclusively to Islamic Finance activity. The ceremony was enhanced by the presence of the Wali of the Wilaya of Chlef, Mr. SEDDAS Lakhdar, the Sheikhs members of the Bank’s Sharia Committee: Dr. Kamel BOUZIDI and Sheikh ABOU ABDESSALAM, as well as Senior Executives of the Bank, representatives of the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and notables of the region.
This new agency is equipped with all installations and amenities allowing for a comfortable working environment for the agency’s team and a quality welcome for the Bank’s clientele.
This action falls within the development strategy of Islamic Finance activity, offering the Bank’s clientele more alternatives through a rich and varied range of Islamic products:
Five (05) financing products: Mourabaha Real Estate, Mourabaha Equipment, Mourabaha Vehicle, Ijara, and Ijara Akaria Mountahia Bitamlik.
Five (05) collection and savings products: Islamic Checking Account, Islamic Current Account, Islamic Savings Account, “Youth” Islamic Savings Account, Unrestricted Islamic Investment Account.
In this regard, the Bank welcomes this achievement, bringing the number of points of sale for Islamic products to sixty-four (64) windows and two (02) agencies dedicated exclusively to this activity. The National Bank of Algeria plans the opening of ten (10) other agencies during the 2022 financial year.
